Zelens Intense Defence Antioxidant Serum

Many environmental factors (such as UV radiation from sunlight, smoking, alcohol, stress and air pollutants) cause the generation of hazardous free radicals which trigger a dangerous chain of chemical reactions leading to the damage of lipid, proteins and DNA of cells and premature ageing of the skin.

There are three types of free radicals which attack the skin and induce the skin damage that leads to premature skin ageing: Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) – which causes oxidative damage to the skin. Reactive Nitrogen Species (RNS) – which promotes inflammation leading to cellular damage and Reactive Carbonyl Species (RCS) – which causes glycation (addition of sugar molecules to a protein) and damages collage and elastin leading to premature skin ageing.

While typical antioxidant products protect the skin only from the oxidative damage caused by ROS, the new Intense Defence Antioxidant Serum offers protection against all three types of free radicals (ROS, RNS and RCS), providing strong antioxidant protection and repair of the damage caused by environmental aggressors, helping to reduce visible signs of skin ageing.

This lightweight, hydrating formulation supports natural collagen production and combats the effects of glycation to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Provides a strong protective barrier against all three types of harmful free radicals.

Improves the texture and appearance of the skin by stimulating the production of collagen.

Leaves skin hydrated, firmer and healthy-looking.
