What – Tom Ogden, European Business Manager at Alpha-H hosted an intimate evening to celebrate the exciting launch of the Essentials Collection. Guests listened to Tom talk passionately about how extrinsic ageing accumulates from long-term daily exposure to UV radiation and pollution, from lifestyle factors including stress and the increasingly poor nutrient quality of our food; Tom also revealed how scientists are discovering ageing skin is further accelerated by the damaging effect of blue light emissions from our phones, tablets and computer screens and how the brand new Essentials Collection from Alpha-H utilises the latest innovations in dermal science and research; to delay and in some cases prevent this damage from ever registering on our skin.
Where – The vibrant Lyric Room at the Covent Garden Hotel, the perfect setting for an informal, frank discussion about all things skincare and ageing. Our favourite florist Flor Unikon made the room look beautiful with flowers chosen to reflect the ingredients in the new collection.
What we ate – A selection of canapes including sesame & coriander prawn tempura, soy & sake tempura chicken, vegetable spring rolls, chocolate covered strawberries and eaton mess… followed by a very special birthday cake for a very special guest!
What we drank – A choice of drinks at the bar; the ice-cold summer Rosé went down a treat.
Happiness is – Listening to Tom talk passionately about the new collection and drum home the damaging effect that blue light emissions from our phones are having on our skin – Tom’s enthusiasm for great skin knows no bounds, he even dressed in an electric blue jumper to further drum home the point…! Also, hearing the exciting news that the new Essential Cleansing Balm will be launching exclusively in a special Alpha-H QVC TSV in August.
